JTS jumps in with IN-164 wireless system

Channel 38 and Channel 70 versions available for UK users

Loudspeaker and wireless mic distributor FBT UK has announced the immediate availability of the JTS IN-164 diversity wireless system, available in both Channel 38 (UK licensed) and Channel 70 (UK licence-free) versions.

The IN-164 claims to feature the world’s first remote control RF setting function which “allows almost instantaneous automatic remote control frequency settings of the transmitter from the receiver, ensuring reliable use even in the most challenging situations”.

Aimed at users on a budget, the IN-164 is available in both handheld and beltpack versions, has a 200-480m operational distance and offers six preset groups, with a maximum of 23 channels in one group.

The handheld version, the JTS IN-264TH, features JTS’s SAM-8WLN mic capsule for high gain before feedback and super-low handling noise. The transmitter is powered by two AA batteries, and gives an average operating life of 12 hours.

The beltpack model, the JTS IN-264TB, is compact and lightweight and featuring a 4-pin mini-XLR input to accept a range of inputs, including JTS headsets and lavalier microphones (such as the JTS CM-501).

The IN-164 makes use of unique REMOSET technology, which uses an RF signal to send frequency change settings from the IN Series receiver to the transmitter in a fraction of a second, making the IN-164 “incredibly reliable for live use in challenging wireless situations”, says FBT UK’s Mark Parkhouse.

Founded in 2012 and based in Surrey, England, FBT Audio UK is the exclusive UK representative of Italy’s FBT Elettronica S.p.A, makers of loudspeakers for 50 years, and 30-year-old JTS Professional Ltd of Taiwan, purveyors of high-end wired and wireless microphone technology.
