K-array takes the helm at steerable audio seminar

In association with 2B Heard and AFMG, the presentation tackles DSP and FIR Filter-based steerable audio and the future of professional audio.

Luton-based audio distributors 2B Heard has organised a seminar presented by K-array and Ahnert Feistel Media Group (AFMG) on the application of DSP Fir filters on Friday, 5 February. The seminar will be held at The Hat Factory arts centre in Luton.

AFMG’s Stefan Feistel will present the company’s FIRmaker sound optimisation tool designed for computing optimal FIR coefficients tailored to a specific venue.

K-Array’s Alessandro Tatini and Mario Di Cola will present their AES paper on the KH8 Firenze system (pictured); a new line array concept that combines the AMFG FIR filters with onboard Armonia DSP, which allows the system to accurately steer the speakers’ sound beam.

The event is free but attendance will be strictly limited and registration is mandatory. To secure a booking, visit
