SSE Sales has supplied Live Audio Production with a d&b audiotechnik Y-Series system and a DiGiCo SD12 mixing console.

Live Audio Production is an audio hire and production company operating in London and the South East of England. Its client roster includes Dr. Martens and Glastonbury Festival.

The company is already a long term user of d&b, with a d&b Q-Series system in its inventory. When managing director Gareth Dennis-Jones decided the time was right to expand the company’s hire stock, further investment in the d&b brand was a clear choice.

d&b audiotechnik Y-Series

SSE Audio has provided a d&b Y-Series package, featuring six Y8 cabinets and six Ysubs, and powered by three D20 amplifiers, to the company. In addition, a pair of Y7P cabinets and four d&b M4 wedge monitors were included in the sale. Sigma Fabrications flight cases were specified to package the entire system.

SSE sales executive Louis Jemmott handled the sale: “Live Audio already has a wealth of experience with d&b and this package certainly enhances their offering. The Y-Series with the M4s is an incredibly rider friendly package and I’m confident it won’t be sat in their warehouse very often.”

In fact, the system was put to use almost immediately, featuring on the Bandstand stage at Glastonbury.

DiGiCo SD12

Shortly after taking delivery of the d&b package, SSE Sales were contacted again by Dennis-Jones to also supply a new digital mixing console.

Live Audio Production chose the DiGiCo SD12 with its dual screens, dual banks of 12 faders and DiGiCo’s Super FPGA technology. The system supplied by SSE Audio features an SD12 surface complete with Dante card and a D2 remote I/O rack packaged in Sigma Fabrications flightcases.

Louis Jemmott of SSE Audio Group commented: “The SD12 is a wise decision, not just from an audio perspective but in terms of an investment. The console features the latest technology and is extremely rider-friendly both for dry hire and on Live Audio’s own projects.

“Both the d&b system and the DiGiCo desk are proving extremely popular with Live Audio Production’s clients. It’s been great to work with Gareth and we look forward to helping him further expand his hire stock in the future.”
