London Stadium poaches Wembley Stadium exec

Danielle Russell has left her post at Wembley Stadium to join London Stadium as its new head of events, according to PSNEurope sister publication Music Week.

Russell most recently served as Wembley Stadium’s partnership development manager, having joined the company in 2012 and playing a key role in bringing in live shows by the likes of Ed Sheeran She begins her new role next month.

Russell is now the third person to leave Wembley Stadium’s music contingent in 20167. Long-serving music boss Jim Frayling exited in January, while head of venue sales and commercial partnerships Gary Hutchinson is departing less than a year into the job.

Wembley Stadium has announced four shows with Ed Sheeran for 2018.
