Rat Sound provides Outline Newton for Coachella 2019

Rat Sound has purchased additional Outline 16 + 8 Newton units to manage the distribution and processing of Coachella Festival's audio signals

Rat Sound Systems Inc, has decided to purchase Outline 16 + 8 Newton units (in addition to those purchased in 2018), to manage the distribution and processing of Coachella Festival 2019’s audio signals.

Headliners of this year’s Coachella include Ariana Grande, Tame Impala and Childish Gambino, and the festival is to take place on the weekends of April 12-14 and April 19-21. The location is the desert in the Indio area (California), not far from Los Angeles.

In consideration of the distribution and processing of audio signals, this could be considered one of the most challenging events in the world. Outline’s Newton functions as a real ‘control centre’ towards which the output signals coming from the various digital consoles flow together.

Newton is reliable, and able to manage a very high number of input / output signals (up to 216) and do it without risk due to redundancy features such as backup strategies for audio and clock signals.

A single Newton (which occupies only one rack unit) can replace up to four processors considered Industry standard, simplifying the project, reducing costs and interconnection problems.
