PLASA 2019 registration now open; doubles audio content

This year’s event takes place at Olympia London from September 15-17

Registration for PLASA 2019 is now open, with the event returning to Olympia London from September 15-17 and promising double the amount of audio content.

For the past two years, PLASA has been ramping up its efforts on the audio front in order to re-establish itself as a must-attend expo for the pro sound market. Its a trend that looks set to continue this year, with organisers doubling the number of audio demos at the 2019 show. For the first time, L-Acoustics will have a dedicated demonstration space, while KV2 Audio will demonstrate products currently featuring across the West End and Broadway. There will also be back-to-back loudspeaker demonstrations from Adam Hall, Shermann Audio, OHM, Aura Audio RCF and Void Acoustics – with more audio demonstrations to be announced over the coming months. Pro audio heavyweights such as d&b audiotechnik, Bose and Yamaha will also be making their presence felt on the exhibition floor.

New for 2019 is Stage To Studio, which will see a band being recorded live and mixed by a professional engineer. These sessions will explore techniques for capturing high quality sound from the stage. Following the show, a competition will launch, inviting people to submit their own mix of the band performance with the best mix receiving a professional audio prize.

In addition to its audio content, PLASA 2019 will also serve up a vast a ray of exhibits from some of the biggest names in lighting, rigging, AV and staging.

PLASA’s Head of Events Sophie Atkinson commented: “We are thrilled to return with PLASA Show with a focus on interactive and immersive experiences as well as an increased audio and AV presence.

“Featuring new audio sessions, awe-inspiring technologies and several new faces, we’re confident that this year’s show will continue to impress visitors from around the world and contribute to the upward trajectory of the entire industry.”
