‘Disappointing yet inevitable decision’: PLASA Focus Leeds cancelled

"It has become the only viable conclusion"

PLASA Focus Leeds has been cancelled as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The show, which was due to take place on May 12-13 at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, is described as the epicentre of live entertainment technology in the north of England.

The show organisers said of the decision to cancel: “Following the concerning developments of the Covid-19 outbreak over the past week, PLASA has come to the disappointing yet inevitable decision that we must cancel PLASA Focus Leeds.

“We want to reassure you that we will do all we can to support our exhibitors during this uncertain time. Whether you wish to defer your contract to next year or cancel completely, we are here to help. A member of the team will be in contact with you over the next few days to discuss your preferred resolution. We apologise for having made this decision, but in the light of the ongoing pandemic, it has become the only viable conclusion. We look forward to welcoming you to the Leeds show next year, and in the meantime, we wish you all the very best.”
