PreSonus has introduced the Eris BT-series media reference monitors – the Eris E3.5 BT and Eris E4.5 BT – for home studios.
The new monitors feature both Bluetooth and analogue connectivity, onboard EQ controls, and a headphone amplifier.
Just like the brand’s professional Eris-series studio monitors, Eris BT-series media reference monitors use a woven composite low-frequency driver that is described to provide tight bass and a cleaner overall sound.
Both models have a one-inch silk-dome tweeter, designed to radiate sound with a fairly wide pattern that creates a large optimal listening area or “sweet spot”. The monitors feature 25 watts per side of onboard power and front-panel volume control, while the onboard EQ allows the user to adjust the high- and low-frequency content to their preference.
Eris BT-series monitors accept audio from almost any source with four different audio inputs. Stereo Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity enables the user to wirelessly stream sound from a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or other Bluetooth source. For a wired connection, there is a rear-panel, left and right ¼-inch TRS and RCA inputs and front-panel 1/8 inch stereo input.
Eris BT-series active media reference monitors are available in both 3.5- and 4.5-inch woofer sizes, the Eris E3.5 BT priced at $129.95/pair and the Eris E4.5 BT at $229.95/pair.
