PSNEurope April 2017 digital edition now available

A chat with David Bowie's producer/engineer, Placebo on tour with CODA, new London nightclub Printworks and its Void Acoustics system and MPG Breakthrough Engineer of the Year Manon Grandjean

Every You and Every Me should read the April edition of PSNEurope with the cover story on Placebo and the band’s use of a CODA AiRAY for its major European tour, which celebrated 20 years together.

Don’t miss the story with legendary producer/engineer Tony Visconti as he speaks about pushing creative boundaries, the evolution of studio technology and that extraordinary final album with long-term collaborator and friend David Bowie.

There is also feature on 3D sound, which looks at the influence of the gaming industry and smartphones, and pairs nicely with the story on Galaxy Studios with the facility increasing its business in post-production and related fields as immersive sound gains prominence.

The launch of new London nightclub Printworks in a very cool, large industrial space, looks at the challenges of removing metalwork to get stacks in and the systems L-Acoustics and Void Acoustics specified for some of the space, which is licensed for 6000 people.

There is also a chat with Simon Saywood, the man behind Analoguetube – a company that won’t let the Fairchild dream fade-away.

Also, check out the Q&A with French sound engineer Manon Grandjean after she won the MPG Breakthrough Engineer of the Year award. She has worked with the likes of Stormzy and London Grammar.
