Shure recruits Julian Simpson to lead market development in Northern Europe

As market development manager for the region, Simpson will lead Shure’s expansion into Scandinavia

As part of its bid to expand into the Scandinavian market, Shure has appointed Julian Simpson to the role of market development manager for Northern Europe.

The arrival of Simpson – formerly a broadcast engineer with the BBC and an associate member of the Institute of Acoustics for the past 25 years – highlights Shure’s commitment to developing its integrated systems business in the Nordics. With Simpson at the helm, the company will look to provide distributors with ample resources and associates to support and expand business operations and sales in the area. In this role, Simpson will build direct relationships with end customers in the region to better understand their requirements and find solutions that best meet their needs, while working closely with key channel distributors. The appointment will also enable Shure to support its channel partners in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland. The company will not sell direct. Simpson will step in to drive business to appointed distributors, including Benum Sweden, Benum Norway, Matrix Sales Denmark, and Intersonic Finland.
