SSE Audio Group nominates Nathan Hernando as London sales manager

SSE has appointed Hernando, previously the business development manager at Solid State Logic, as part of its expansion of its London operation in Park Royal

Nathan Hernando has been appointed as London sales manager for SSE Audio Group.

Hernando most recently worked as business development manager for Solid State Logic, where he had a key role in its new live console range, and he comes away with many years of experience in the audio industry. At SSE, Hernando will take the reigns from previous sales manager, Peter Codron, who has moved to Martin Audio. Hernando will run the development of new equipment sales in London and the South of England, and will also work in SSE’s installation division.

SSE’s sales director, Alex Penn, commented: “Last year Nathan helped us to establish ourselves as a dealer for SSL’s live console range. We know him and he knows us, which I’m sure will help Nathan to settle in. I’m pleased that we have been able to replace Peter as quickly as we have, as London continues to grow rapidly in terms of sales and installations. We were already looking to expand the team at Park Royal now that our enlarged premises permits it. With Nathan at the helm of the sales team in London, we see this as a great opportunity for further growth and development of the team with an initial focus on console sales within the capital to play to the strengths of Nathan’s experience.”

Penn continued: “Nathan has a good understanding of pro audio sales, and will be able expand on his experience, now also working with other brands we represent, and by working with our in-house teams to deliver audio system design and specification for both touring and install applications.”

SSE’s London residence at Park Royal has recently more than doubled its capacity by taking over the unit next door. This has provided increased warehouse space and new facilities to support hire, sales and installations.

London general manager Stephen Connolly explained: “It was very fortuitous that additional space has become available to us because the business out of Park Royal has grown massively. We continue to recruit staff to join the team in London, with the aim of offering the full services of the Group and our brands.”

“For the hire side of the business, we have created a well-appointed desk prep room, where engineers can set everything up before a tour. Our facility is available to engineers who might be preparing to tour with SSE, Wigwam or Capital Sound — if our location is convenient for them, then it’s available.”
