Stage Electrics has agreed to a £2 million contract with Riverside Studios, Hammersmith, for the supply and installation of specialist production lighting and audio-visual infrastructure of the venue.
The broadcast, arts and entertainment venue closed in 2014 for demolition and redevelopment, and is scheduled to fully reopen in 2019 after Stage Electrics facilitate the changes.
Riverside Studios is now 90,000 sq. ft., comprising of three studios, small, medium and large, as well as public and community spaces including a two-screen cinema, rehearsal space and a number of restaurants and bars. The medium studio is the most versatile, equipped for alternation between theatre, music, events and television, while the smallest studio is intended as a theatrical space, with broadcast facilities being integrated into the audio-visual facility panels.
During the process, Stage Electrics advised that the supporting infrastructure should be able to function as a multipurpose space. There will also be a high-quality PA system for the public areas of the building, and rigging systems for the smallest studio and cinema.
Stage Electrics will begin work in early 2019, working for main contractor, Mount Anvil, and pave the way for the installations of broadcast systems integrator, ATG Danmon and TV lighting hoist integrator, DeSisti.
