There’s now just two weeks to go until the Pro Sound Awards, which will take place this year on Thursday, November 22, at London’s Steel Yard.
The ceremony, which is now in its sixth year, will celebrate the best talent and achievements across the pro audio industry, and will also provide a platform for networking opportunities. In addition, stand-up comedian Jimmy McGhie will take the stage for the second time this year to host the awards.
This year we’ve introduced two breakthrough engineer categories (studio and FOH) for the first time ever. Another brand new award for 2018 is, the Campaign Award, which will be presented to Red Bull Studios’ #NormalNotNovelty campaign. The award recognises a campaign or movement that has helped provide a positive change to working practices, diversity and equality.
Furthermore, the Company Of The Year Award will be presented to Finnish manufacturer Genelec which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Meanwhile, L-Acoustics founder and president Christian Heil will be honoured with the 2018 Outstanding Contribution Award.
This year’s nominees for the Best Producer award have also been revealed. The award recognises a producer who has made a significant contribution to a record/s of distinction, demonstrating sonic artistry and bringing a strong audio identity to one or multiple projects.
