A&H Adds To Brazilian Country Fest

Country music may have started in the U.S. but it doesn’t stop at the nation’s borders. Case in point: Brazil’s annual Villa Mix festival, held annually in Manaus, Brazill’s massive Sambadrone, features 10 of that country’s top country music artists. Mixes for this year’s edition were handled on an Allen & Heath dLive system, supplied by PA company Barra Som.

Manaus, Brazil (May 13, 2016)—Country music may have started in the U.S. but it doesn’t stop at the nation’s borders.

The system comprised the flagship S7000 Control Surface and DM64 MixRack.

“It was very important that we had one system to manage the whole event, to eliminate any complexities with changing over systems,” says William Souza Ribeiro, the system engineer from Barra Som.

“dLive did not disappoint. It delivers a big performance, with great headroom and clarity. dLive presents a new level of sound quality—it’s amazing! And with the AES3 outputs at a 96kHz sample rate, the processing capacity is astonishing.”
