Lititz, PA (May 7, 2019)—Clair Global has purchased the first two SSL Live L550 consoles in the U.S. and has already put them out on the road with Childish Gambino’s ‘This Is America’ tour, and Nick Mason of Pink Floyd’s North American ‘Saucerful of Secrets’ leg.
“We are thrilled to offer the new L550 to our clients, who are putting out some of the most demanding tours on the road today,” said account executive, Justin Weaver. “As we continue to invest in our global inventory to keep it fresh and up-to-date, adding the latest SSL consoles to our arsenal was a positive step in that direction.”
The L550 updates SSL’s previous L500 console with increased system power in order to provide better screen responsiveness, as well as a total of 288 processing paths, 36 Matrix outputs, and 48 VCAs. Existing L500 consoles can be upgraded to become L550s a variety of ways; SSL’s options include a free firmware update.
