Queens, NY (November 2, 2016)—Audio knowledge is all over the map among houses of worship, ranging from full-time audio engineers at the Megachurches down to volunteers with no sound background helping at small congregations. Answering the need for education, insight and best-practices in this very specific live sound niche, Dale Pro Audio, in collaboration with Worship, MD, and E.C. Professional Video, presented a two-day House of Worship Audio / Video Workshop, October 14-15 at its Queens, New York location.

The free training event focused on audio/video and technology solutions as well as practical tips for the House of Worship market intended to help pastors, worship leaders, music directors, audio technicians, engineers and more. Topics covered included microphone applications for modern worship, the future of wireless and RF spectrum, assisted listening, proper monitoring, mic techniques for drums, bands, and choir, recording worship services, Portable PA solutions, and how to use video systems for worship events.

In addition to the workshops, Audio-Technica, Electro-Voice, and JBL provided wireless systems, microphones, bluetooth speakers, headphones, and installation speakers to randomly selected participants.

Running many of the presentations was Doug Gould, CEO and Founder of Worship MD, an educational consulting firm that helps professional audio technology manufacturers build relationships with the church. A veteran of the Pro Audio and Music Technology Industry for nearly 30 years, Gould served in management roles at Shure, Tascam and E-Mu Systems and also as a worship leader, musician and tech at various churches. Over the last 12 years, Gould has presented at hundreds of worship conferences.

E.C. Professional Video, a team of video engineers with extensive background in AV production as well as webcasting for House of Worship, simulated a live video production environment at Dale, providing hands-on training and insight into live webcast production.
