Martin Audio Adds to Adorn Series

Five new offerings will join Martin Audio’s Adorn series of installation speakers at ISE, including the company’s first-ever pendant speaker.

New York, NY (February 3, 2020)—Martin Audio has added five new in-ceiling and pendant loudspeakers to its growing Adorn series, all of which will debut at ISE this month. Introduced last year, the line of on-wall loudspeakers is now joined by three in-ceiling loudspeakers and the company’s first-ever pendant speaker.

All the new ceiling models have a nominal impedance of 16 ohms, allowing four or more speakers to be driven in parallel by one amplifier channe. The new ceiling additions are also fitted with an internal 70 V/100 V multi-tap line transformer with a switch to select the output level. For full-bandwidth protection, the low and high frequency sections are individually protected against overload in all models.

The ACS-40TS in-ceiling speaker sports a 4” LF driver and a 0.75” silk-dome tweeter, reportedly produces 108 dB peak output at 1 meter and delivers bass down to 73 Hz. The 180° conical coverage of the ACS-40TS is intended for use with low ceilings and features a shallow backcan for installation in ceilings with a minimum cavity depth.

Featuring a 5.25” LF driver and a 0.75” silk-dome tweeter, the ACS-55TS in-ceiling speaker produces 113 dB peak output at 1 meter and bass down to 79 Hz. It offers 150° conical coverage.

The in-ceiling ACS-55T has a 5.25” LF driver and a 0.75” silk-dome tweeter, produces 113 dB peak output at 1 meter and a ported bass reflex design that reportedly delivers bass down to 62Hz. It also features 150° conical coverage.

The line’s pendant speaker, the ACP-55T, features a 5.25” LF driver and a 0.75” silk-dome tweeter, produces 109 dB peak output at 1 meter and features a 150° conical coverage.

Managing director Dom Harter noted, “New product development is the lifeblood of our rapid growth in the last three years and we are continuing with that winning strategy in 2020. I’m delighted with this range of ceiling speakers, in particular the company’s first pendant speaker, and I believe that the extended Adorn series is a formidable value proposition for the worldwide commercial market.”
