North Hants, UK (October 13, 2017)—This year’s 7,000-capacity Shambala Festival featured 200 acts across a dozen stages of music programming, but Stage Audio Services’ main concern was the main stage, where it fielded a sizable Martin Audio MLA Compact rig for the event.

Their MD Kevin Mobberley says the MLA Compact PA in order to avoid offsite sound level issues, making use of the system’s controllability.

The main stage hangs consisted of 12 MLA Compact per side supported by four MLA Mini on each stage wing for infill, while four Martin Audio DD12’s provided front fill.

A total of 10 MLX subwoofers were designed in a broadside configuration, spaced equidistant, five wide and two high.

SAS front of house tech was Matt Hopkins, while other crew on site included Ross Clark and Phil Warwick, and technical support from Martin Audio’s Nigel Meddemmen and Dan Orton.
