Los Angeles, CA (September 18, 2014)—For this year’s Los Angeles HARD Summer Festival, the SAE Institute was the exclusive education sponsor. SAE provides training in the production aspects of large-scale events such as the HARD Festival, and had representatives at the event on August 2 and 3 to talk more with attendees interested in pursuing a career in the festival production field.

“The HARD Summer Festival is one of Southern California’s most popular concerts, and we were eager to be on board,” says SAE Institute Los Angeles campus director Justin Pond. “SAE’s Audio Technology curriculum, which is available as Diploma or Associates Degree programs, provides hands-on, real-world training in all of the production aspects of large-scale entertainment events such as the HARD Festival.”

The HARD Festival, now in its eighth year, attracted more than 75,000 people per day and featured performances by alternative, EDM, and emerging acts from around the world, including Jack U, A$AP Mob, Axwell, Flosstradamus, Tiesto, Disclosure, Nero, Dillon Francis and more.

SAE’s booth at the HARD Festival offered a variety of interactive promotions for festival attendees, including performances by Los Angeles turntablists (and SAE alumni) DJ Autumn Leilani and DJ Simple; meet and greets with performers; and Native Instruments’ MASCHINE groove production system, where booth visitors could create, arrange, and mix their own beats.
