Indicative of its support to the HOW Sound community, Sweetwater recently hosted a two-day workshop for worship leaders, technicians, and musicians.

Fort Wayne, IN (June 14, 2016)—Indicative of its support to the HOW Sound community, Sweetwater recently hosted a two-day workshop for worship leaders, technicians, and musicians.

The event, called Worship Connect, featured worship band Jesus Culture with guest artist Chris McClarney. Designed to help all those involved in worship music to become more knowledgeable leaders and artists within the worship community, the event offered exclusive training at Sweetwater’s Performance Theatre on its Fort Wayne, Indiana, campus.

The event was sold out, with hundreds of churches in attendance. The workshop was co-sponsored by Yamaha, Gretsch, Shure, D’Addario, and MultiTracks.

Workshop topics included: Understanding each other’s needs and building healthy communication; The anatomy of productive rehearsals and sound checks; Creating balance and perfecting tone as a team.

Meanwhile, manufacturer sessions included Wireless Technology for Worship (Presented by Shure); The History of Gretsch in Worship (Presented by Gretsch); and Winning the Volume War in Worship (Presented by Yamaha).

The workshop concluded with a sold-out Night of Worship Concert with Jesus Culture and Chris McClarney at Fort Wayne’s First Assembly of God Church.

The next Worship Connect event at Sweetwater is scheduled for late-September, 2016, and will feature the musicians and engineers of Chris Tomlin’s band.
