Yorkville Rolls Into Rivercity Rock Fest

Rivercity Rock Fest is only in its fourth year, but the annual event draws hard rockin’ metal heads from all over, and this year’s edition, held May 29 at the AT&T Center, was no exception.

San Antonio, TX (July 19, 2016)—Rivercity Rock Fest is only in its fourth year, but the annual event draws hard rockin’ metal heads from all over, and this year’s edition, held May 29 at the AT&T Center, was no exception.

Bringing together nearly 28,000 fans of the heavy stuff, the fest fielded four stages to present the likes of Disturbed, Scorpions, Megadeth, P.O.D., Sevendust and Bullet for my Valentine, among others.

Up and coming acts were featured at the FanDuel Stage which fielded five acts, including two—The Revival and buzz band The Heroine—with the same lead singer, Lynwood Presley King. Also playing that stage were Mud River, Wild Throne and Donnella Drive, and all were heard through a considerable Yorkville Sound PA provided by San Antonio-based audio vendor BP Lighting, Sound & Video.

Covering the crowd was a PA comprised of four TX8 Dual passive loudspeakers for front of house, backed by eight Unity Series UCS1 powered subwoofers. Up on the stage, bands could hear themselves via a number of TX2M 15-inch wedges.
