Daly City, CA (March 14, 2007)–Digidesign’s Pro Tools 7.2 software was recently granted the Cinema Audio Society (C.A.S.) Best New Post Production Technology Award at the organization’s 43rd annual awards banquet.
The annual Cinema Audio Society Awards banquet, held last month at the Los Angeles Biltmore Hotel, bestows awards for outstanding achievements in sound mixing and sound production technologies for television and feature films. Pro Tools 7.2 software shared a nomination in the same category with its sister product, the Digidesign ICON integrated console, along with the AMS Neve Gemini console and Cedar Audio DNS 2000 dialog noise suppressor.
“Digidesign is exceptionally proud to be recognized by the Cinema Audio Society, one of the industry’s most important professional associations,” said Danny Caccavo, product manager for Digidesign, who was also on hand to accept the award. “Pro Tools 7.2 was the direct result of a remarkable synergy between our customers, beta testers, product specialists, sales team, and the incredibly talented development and test teams at Digidesign. This award acknowledges this collaboration and Digidesign’s commitment to the needs of our post customers, who have reinforced Pro Tools’ place as the premier digital audio workstation for film and television sound mixing.”
