New York, NY (September 2, 2020)—While New York-based ProMedia may be best known for its production and post-production work, the company also has a bustling podcast studio as well. As the podcast market has matured, the demand for simultaneous video production has increased, so ProMedia turned to Adorama Business Solutions to upgrade its podcast studio to offer video options.

Adding those capabilities meant incorporating new lighting, video cameras and video switching gear. While the audio-centric team had some experience in video equipment, there was a gap in expertise in live switching.

AdoramaTV Goes Beyond the Sound in Web Series

Following an on-site discussion of requirements for the podcasting studio and the project’s budget parameters, Adorama created a solution built around a Soundcraft LX7 II 24 Channel Recording Mixer with 4 Sub Group Outputs, Datavideo SE-1200MU 6 Input Switcher with RMC-260 Controller, PTZOptics Second Generation IP Joystick Keyboard and PTZOptics 2MP Full HD Indoor PTZ Camera.

“Building a video studio has been a ton of work—more than I think we all anticipated. Working with Adorama Business Solutions meant I could stay a lot more focused on the rest of my work, which doesn’t go away,” said Scott Greenfield, director of Post-Production at ProMedia. “It took a lot off of my plate in terms of legwork in finding the right solutions.”
