The console, with Bluefin2 high-density signal processing (HDSP), was deployed in May and is used daily for about 2.5 hours of live and taped information and music programming. The Artemis replaced a 10-year-old digital console from another provider. In addition, CBN, one of the oldest cable broadcasters in the United States, has ordered a second Calrec Artemis for delivery later this year.

"We wanted to partner with an audio console manufacturer that specializes in broadcast," said Philip Peters, director of audio services for CBN. "And as for the console itself, we wanted it to sound good and be durable."
