Italy (June 25, 2015)—Giacomo Ramaglia, sound engineer with Italian national public broadcaster RAI, used DPA's d:fine headset microphones on Made in Sud, a weekly live television show.
With more than 40 artists playing several characters during the three-hour show, not to mention at least 120 costume changes, Ramaglia needed a durable microphone. Given that the program attracts over 2.5 million viewers every week, sound quality was also an important consideration.
"In my opinion, sound quality should always be the first criteria when it comes to choosing a microphone," Giacomo Ramaglia says. "DPA's d:fine headset microphones were perfect for this show because they deliver exceptionally high quality audio."
Ramaglia, who has used DPA microphones on previous television projects, chose single ear omnidirectional d:fines for the Made in Sud performers. Italian distributor M. Casale Bauer reportedly suggested using the d:fine range.
