VIDEO: Ariana Grande’s Accidental Mic Drop

Lots of stars love that big, dramatic Mic Drop—except when it’s an accident, as happened recently to popstar Ariana Grande when her tour played Vancouver’s Rogers Arena on March 24, 2017. The singer is currently on tour with Clair Global providing audio services, and as you can see in the fan-shot video, she accidentally winged her Sennheiser 5000 wireless with a 5235 series capsule right into the stage. That wasn’t the end of it, however—instead, the mic skittered along until it plunged off the side, dropping another 5-6 feet. To the microphone’s (and singer’s) credit, when a security guard handed it back to her, Grande was able to pick up right where she left off and get back to belting. And the song she was singing? Ironically, it was “Problem.”
