Winter Park, CO (July 20, 2018)—Renowned for his multiplatinum act, The Alan Parsons Project, as well as his work in the studio with the likes of Pink Floyd, The Beatles and others, Alan Parsons has announced his next recording masterclass, to be held at Eagle Wind Sound in Winter Park, CO, August 10-12, 2018.

Recording a new song for his upcoming new album, he will be joined by Alan Parsons Live Project lead singer and co-writer PJ Olsson, select members of local luminaries Eminence Ensemble and by cellist Michael Fitzpatrick, who had participated in Parson’s most recent masterclass, held in Orange County, CA back in March.

Day 1 will be the recording day, where attendees will observe and participate in a tracking session, including drum miking, electric and acoustic guitar overdubs, a full complement of vocals from Olsson, and an original cello part recorded by Fitzpatrick.

Day 2 will indeed feature of a full day of ‘de-compression’ where Parsons and attendees will explore the Colorado Rockies on what Parsons describes as a “Magical Mountain Mystery Tour” featuring a variety of outdoor activities to engender discussion. The day will conclude with a ‘GastroSonic’ gourmet dinner at a local mountain eatery.

The masterclass with conclude with Day 3, a full day of mixing. "This is key,” said event producer Julian Colbeck. “So often, we’re too pushed for time for Alan to do more than a board mix. Here, attendees will have the rare opportunity to see Alan in action on a dedicated mix session.”

The masterclass is limited to 15 people and the ticket price includes all activities, the dinner on Day 2 plus travel from and back to Denver International Airport from the studio.
