Moogie Masters with Bernie

Recording engineer/mixer Moogie Canazio recently visited mastering engineer Bernie Grundman to finalize Nathan East's new album, "Reverence," which was produced by Chris Gero.

Hollywood, CA (January 30, 2017)—Recording engineer/mixer Moogie Canazio recently visited mastering engineer Bernie Grundman to finalize Nathan East’s new album, Reverence, which was produced by Chris Gero.

Bernie Grundman commented, “It’s been great to work with Moogie again, absolutely one of the best mixers in the world, and Nathan is one of the best players in the business. It’s all there, and it is so well-recorded that it’s just a matter of minor adjustments and enhancing a little bit for release in various formats. Now we are finally coming to the end—we have a complete album, and it’s sounding great.”

As a founding member of the renowned contemporary jazz quartet Fourplay, Nathan East is one of the world’s most recorded session bassists. This latest project is his second solo album, and follows his self-titled 2014 debut, which hit #1 on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Albums chart and held #1 for a record-breaking 36 weeks on SmoothJazz.com.

Reverence features a cavalcade of recording artists, including Philip Bailey with Earth Wind & Fire, and a piano cameo by East’s son, Noah, on “Over the Rainbow.” East, who has over 2,000 album credits to his name along with several Grammy-winning songs, including “Get Lucky,” “Footloose” and “Change the World,” has performed with artists including Daft Punk, Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Beyoncé.
