Westminster, CO (August 4, 2020)—Colorado Sound Studios, which has hosted numerous internationally acclaimed artists and Grammy Award-winning bands and producers during its 43 years of operation, has expanded into an adjacent building with plans to expand its services.
According to a statement from a spokesperson at the facility, “Two years ago, we started the hard work of conceptualizing a new addition to the existing studio complex. We began to envision an enlarged legacy, dreaming up a sister facility that would expand our ability to serve the arts community, near and far, in new and fresh ways.

“A year and a half ago, a series of serendipitous events led to the acquisition of the warehouse directly adjacent to the current Colorado Sound Studios. For the last several months, we have spent countless hours and personal resources in beginning the hard work of intensive warehouse renovation, transforming it into a creative space now bursting with a unique vibe all of its own.”
Studio W is being designed and built as a multi-functional space accommodating video production for bands and artists, educational and corporate clients; audio production including live streaming, podcasts and album recording; intimate shows and house concerts; CD release parties; band rehearsals and photography.
“Studio W is also where we will be officially housing our growing educational program, Colorado Sound Media Labs, for classes and active hands-on learning, allowing education to merge with onsite projects,” according to the statement.
Colorado Sound Studios, which was established in 1977 and also operates a mobile recording truck, has launched a Kickstarter campaign, ending August 28, 2020, to complete the final phase of Studio W.
