Los Angeles CA (April 29, 2019)—The 2019 Recording Industry Golf & Poker Tournament (RIGT) has been announced, set to take place Monday, June 3, 2019, at Sand Canyon Golf Club (formerly known as Robinson Ranch Golf Club) in Santa Clarita, CA.
This year’s even will kick off at at 12:00 noon, and will see the return of the Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament. The RIGT is again being organized by event producer Karen Dunn of KMD Productions, LLC and will support the music program at A Place Called Home, a dynamic community center and safe haven in South Central Los Angeles where underserved youth 8-21 years old are empowered to take ownership of the quality and direction of their lives through programs in education, arts, and well-being.
Recording veterans Ed Cherney and Al Schmitt will return as Honorary Co-Chairs for the afternoon’s festivities.
The list of participating sponsors so far includes Audio-Technica, Lurssen Mastering, NAMM, David Angress Consulting, Bob Hodas Acoustic Analysis, The Recording Studio Insurance Program and studioexpresso.
Dunn is now accepting participation entries, whether as sponsors, golfers or both. In addition to the 18 holes of golfing, the day will include a $1 million shoot-out opportunity, great food, a reception and awards dinner, and more. Dunn and Rose Mann-Cherney will be driving the “world famous tequila cart” to make sure all of the day’s participants are playing their best.
