Rogers Masters at Grundman

Singer/songwriter Dann Rogers called on Paul Grundman, son of mastering studio founder Bernie Grundman, to master his new record, “Just One of Those Days.”

Hollywood, CA (November 9, 2016)—Singer/songwriter Dann Rogers called on Paul Grundman, son of mastering studio founder Bernie Grundman, to master his new record, Just One of Those Days.

Before his career as a performer and recording artist, Dann Rogers wrote Johnny Nash’s hit, “My Merry Go Round.” At the time, Rogers’ father Lelan was a successful label executive, while his uncle Kenny was as established pop music legend.

Joining the mastering session was guitarist and co-producer Craig T. Fall, who has played on hit records with Stevie Wonder, Martha & The Vandellas, The Spinners, Roger Miller, Glen Campbell, and the Beach Boys, among others. “It’s been great working on this new song with Craig and mastering this project with Paul,” commented Rogers. “I feel that Paul and I were destined to work together. His dad has mastered so many classic records and I have always admired my father’s talents as a businessman and my uncle Kenny for his gifts. Kenny is retiring, but he’s always loved my work and encouraged me to record some new material and carry on the Rogers legacy.”

Paul Grundman said of the mastering session, “When I introduced my father to Dann, he remembered working on some of Kenny’s classic records. Dann’s music also has the feeling that you are in the presence of something real and something you understand immediately. It was a pleasure to work on this because the production is so organic and cohesive. The strength of the vocal performance just gave me the chills.”
