AARHUS, Denmark — HARMAN’s Martin is very pleased to offer global lighting designers a place in the race to become the hottest up-and-coming young Lighting Designer. To enter, captivated LD’s can program their ultimate show to a music track of their choice and submit a recording to the Martin Facebook contest page.
Apart from instant stardom, the winner will be awarded two prizes: a trip to Prolight+Sound 2014 in Frankfurt and the Martin M2GO™ controller. A second place winner receives the M2PC™. Third place wins the Martin USB Duo DMX Interface.
During the contest friends, colleagues and other Facebook users can vote for their favorite shows. When the contest ends, the three shows with the most votes enter the final stage of the contest. A panel of judges, made up of last year’s winner, Brad Helzer and Martin employees with field experience, Theis Wermuth and Paul Pelletier, will deliberate and pick the final winner. The winner will be announced March 3rd.
The contest is now open and the last entries will be received on March 2nd – all videos must be submitted to the Facebook contest page no later than 12 AM CET.
Who can enter?
In order to compete, contestants must be a young, amateur lighting designer who aspires to become a great light designer. Contestants must be between the age of 18 and 30 to enter. Please note, that in order to participate, contestants must be available to travel to Frankfurt, March 12-15 2014.
